TVW: Washington State's Public Affairs Network - Very good State web site, with much useful information for residents. Includes live and archived video and audio of legislative committee hearings and floor activities, election information, etc. Austin, Texas - Very comprehensive information source. Includes full text of City Charter, ordinances, and many cable-related documents (including the franchise agreement). Also provides City Council agendas, live and archived video streaming of all Council meetings, and transcripts of previous Council meetings. Chicago, Illinois - Includes extensive information about City attractions, links to City departments and agencies, online bicycle registration, and much more. Nevada County, California - Comprehensive, award-winning government web site. Includes access to all public documents. New York City, New York - Quick and easy access to information about City agencies, programs, and services. Palo Alto, California - Very comprehensive site that includes online building permits, detailed job listings, minutes of City Council meetings since 1990, a directory of City departments and employees, and links to area public transit information. Petaluma, California - Good site by a small community, featuring links to all City Council members and City departments, and minutes of Council meetings for the past three years. Reno, Nevada - Includes full text of Municipal Code and minutes of Council meetings for the past five years. Sacramento, California - Provides information about City government structure and services. Also has departmental links. San Jose, California - Includes links to all City departments, City Council agendas, and live streaming of government access channel. Seattle, Washington - This site provides extensive information for residents and visitors. Includes City job openings, live and archived video streaming of the government access channel, departmental links, the full text of the City Charter and Municipal Code, and an interactive "virtual tour" of the City. Tampa, Florida - Comprehensive local government, community and tourism information. Also provides excellent information about CTTV (the City's government access channel, also available live via video streaming), including attractive program descriptions and upcoming schedules.
